Tags - what weight that word has for us. How many of us first picture the messy scrawled marking defacing our suburbs.

Is this the turnaround that we need to make away from formal Library of Congress subject headings that are for 'those in the know' to an external tagging of items, informal and somewhat uncontrolled yet with a life and community of its own.

I'm inrtigued to see that libraries ar embracing tags to make their information more user-friendly'

I can't wait to spend some time on Del.icio.us with my favourite websites, looking to see what else there is that others have discovered.

RSS Feeds

Well achieved success at last!

Iv'e managed to verify my Bloglines account successfully after being thwarted by using another terminal that would only verify another account - not mine. Am now on home turf and all's well with my world

Even my little exploration thus far is charged with possiblities.

Blog in a fog - just who am I?

At the moment I feel as though I am working my way through a fog - arms out ahead, feeling my way through. As yet I'm to subscribe to RSS feeds - I really would prefer to do this from my home base. At the moment I feel like a split personality juggling the various facets of my life.
The frustration of the inabilty to validate Bloglines is thickening the fog

Mix up in cyberspace

Not too sure how I've got here - but no doubt here I am. It's been quite difficult moving forward as every time I sit down for a session I get interrupted. Today, when I checked my email and tried to validate Bloglines I got a welcome message for one of the other participants - is this because I'm using another terminal? Can only really sort thisout once I get back to home base.
